‘Tis the season for traveling…
And
For black ice.
In a matter of an hour this morning the road in front of my house turned into an ice rink and then a parking lot.
Here are few shots from my front porch.

This one took out 2 of my neighbor's trees.
Yep, he was going down the hill too.
There are two more cars stranded down the street a bit but I didn’t want to leave the shelter of my porch to get a picture.
Everyone is Ok. They all walked away fine, just scared.
Wherever you go please drive carefully and stay safe!!!

Oh my goodness. I would have been scared to just try to walk across the street with that "demolition derby" going on.
I'm glad no one was hurt - but those poor trees.
I remember in Lansing we had those ice storms ALL the time. It really was like driving on a pure sheet of ice! Scary!
Funny how they all went to the other side of the street, huh?
I guess you are lucky you still have your mailbox! Wow, that is some icy roads... Funny to see, but I am sure the people in the cars were not laughing!
OMGosh that is another good reason for working at home! this scares the heck out of me! When picking up Cole from daycare on Friday my car did that whole swivel thing and freaked me out. I'm just glad it was nothing too bad, but still!
I'd stay on my porch also!
Found you through Kyooty!
Black ice is scary stuff! Your pictures should be shown at drivers ed! wow!
