I’m feeling a little sluggish at getting back to the blogging thing. Ok, getting back to the daily life thing. I can say that all the Christmas décor has been cleaned up, packed and stacked away for the year. Not that I’m in a hurry or anything but it does help me to focus more on moving forward and getting ready for a new…everything. Month. Year. Goals.
Well, it sounds good in theory. I’m usually chomping at the bit to get my goals down on paper and organize my thoughts on just how to tackle each one of them. Not so much right now. There are some goals floating around up there in that dusty thing that I use for a brain but I’m just not too sure about them. Some are way too unrealistic and I know I won’t achieve them and I’m all about obtainable goal making. So scratch those off the list of possibilities. There are some goals that might sound good in theory but the means to achieving them would ultimately cause more hardship than what it’s worth…or so it seems from my current perspective. I’m still taking a look at the goals from last year to see what went well and what still needs to be addressed so there are a few waiting in limbo while that all gets sorted out.
Maybe I just enjoyed the time off too much. Kids home, no time schedule to follow, Hubby home co-parenting going well = my life made easier. Maybe I just need to have more coffee. I can even use my new travel mug thanks to a dear friend who was worried about my issue with aspiration. Seems I can’t drink and drive, or walk or well, anything. Just can’t seem to drink at all from that old travel mug. Almost chocked just having my morning brew while setting up at a vendor show once. (Whoa, way off track. No wonder goals are an extra challenge this year).
Maybe I’ll be more goal oriented once I get January on the calendar and get back into a daily routine. I said maybe.
How about you??? Do you have your goals ready for 2011?? Are you ready for a new year or still stuck in vacation mode??

I'm totally in vacation mode. I want more and more and more of it!
I'm having a hard time coming back to reality. I teach tomorrow! I better get real! Good luck to you and your goals. I can't wait to hear your new ones. I just might get inspired to write my own!
Oh girl I haven't been up to par in sometime ... I so need to get my butt in gear!
Goals I have tons, not to make them as a must do list :)
Happy New Year my dear!
I too have slowly, reluctantly, reentered the life of non-vacation. It would be so much easier if they'd just pay us our salaries and not require us to actually work! I decided to not make resolutions this year not that I did that very often before. I'll just follow God's plan and go where He leads. I've already felt a tugging in the career arena and I'm only three days back. I'm excited to see where He leads it. The thing I've discovered this year - don't stress yourself out about getting things done rather enjoy everything to it's fullest to receive the true blessing.
Oh yeah, I guess I have one recurring goal -like you - coffee!
Blessings
Heather
I hope you are feeling better soonest - sounds like you were enjoying a comfort zone (and were trying not to feel guilty about it).
I'm sure whatever you do this year will be fabulous - you just need some more confidence in your "stuff".. prehaps that should be your resolution?
As for me... I'm resolving to get off the Nyquil and back on to "fresh air"... time for some more outdoor walks (or planning them for now) and picture taking!
