Just in case...

No, I didn’t forget that I have a blog. I just put a few things on the back burner for a little while. This time of year is generally busy in this house. This year is especially busy. The In-laws came for a visit. I planned a family party and a kid party for my now eight year old. (Not sure what’s easier to cope with… Hosting my Family or 9 little girls). And on top of that I’m working like a fiend to get ready for a vendor show this weekend. You know, for that little jewelry business I have.

Anyway, since I have re-prioritized temporarily, I need to delegate a few tasks. So if you should happen to be here helping out, there are a few things you might need to know to make life easier.

If you run the dishwasher, you need to twist the door to the right then push down on that side before you close the door. Then you have a 50/50 chance that it won’t leak while it’s running. Watch out for water on the floor when it’s done. My cute little blonde butterfly daughter fell on the opened door twice. (Nope, didn’t learn after the first time she fell)

If you need to use the oven, add at least 25 degrees to the temp you really want. Then once it’s preheated and you open it to put your stuff in you’ll need to turn it off and then back on. Make sure you hear the thermostat click on. Not sure what happened but we think it got fried during a power serge. Just a little temperamental now but it usually gets hot.

If your drive my van and it’s raining, don’t try to adjust the wipers. They started hitting each other last year and we had them “fixed” and now they do what they want. They always work but they just go at what ever speed they feel like. Unpredictable but doable.

If you need to talk to the hubby get eye contact first. You’ll have a better chance that he might really be listening. But be careful, he’ll hear the first few words and try to analyze how to fix the problem before you’re done talking so sometimes the point you’re making gets lost. Good luck.

I think that covers most of the quirks here.

Do you have any funny little quirks that you’re dealing with in your daily life? I’d love to know I’m not alone.

The hubs and the listening...oh how I know that! Your car, oven, and dishwasher combined would make me loopy!

Jeepers.

I'm familar with the crazy dishwasher antics - as mine is similar - but normally doesn't leak (thank heavens) - although if it did... just once... it would help me mop and wash the kitchen floor - it really needs it.

The wipers would have me back at the dealership / service place in no time - wipers drive me loopy when they work properly!

Sounds like life is throwing all sorts of irritants at you -

- I hope the vendor show goes well and you make a bunch of big sales!!

I know a couple women that would love to see your set up - if only you were all the way over on the other side of this rather large state!

Dinner shouldn't rely on the oven heating correctly and clean up shouldn't rely on the dish washer actually ummm washing right? You are a very patient woman and an inspiration to deal with life's situations with such humor.
Good Luck with your show!
Blessings
Heather
