If you remember from some of my other postings, I have found it hard to fit “ME” on the list. You know, after you’re done taking care of all your work: the job (or your business), the husband, the house, the kids, the pets and whatever else has found its way onto your never-ending list. You have no time, no energy or no desire to give anything to yourself.
Well, knock it off!!!
I don’t know if it’s the warmer weather, all the talk about spring break or the count down to Easter, but I’ve got Flip Flops on my brain. Are your feet ready to be out? Seriously, do you feel that it is safe to unleash them and allow public viewing? Well you better get ready.
Now, I know it can be hard to find the time to pamper ourselves, but with just a few short minutes a few days a week your pretty piggys can be picture perfect.
Exfoliate, moisturize, repeat... Don’t worry; you’ll have sandal-worthy toes in no time. There are several different types of loofah sponges and pumice stones available at any drug store. Find the ones you like best and put them in the shower. All you need to do is add 2 to 3 minutes to your routine. (Even every-other-day is enough). Scrub the dry rough areas with a loofah or a scrub brush just a few seconds during your shower and then go over them again with a pumice stone once you get out.

As a side note, if you have hairy little spiders growing on the tops of your toes; wax, pluck or shave, but make those things go away. I have a friend and she has the cutest summer footwear but I get so distracted with the giant furry monster sitting on her toes that I find it hard to think about anything else. So, look down, if you have the urge to grab a rolled up newspaper, you might want to reach for the razor instead.
To finish up, use your favorite lotion and give yourself a quick massage. I especially like to rub some nice cream on at bedtime then I put socks on to help hold the moisture in. I promise you’ll be ready for those summer shoes in no time. I don’t recommend using lotion before you slid into those sandals, make for slippery steps. (I lived and learned… trust me)
Extra Hint: In the summer before I run out the door with my flip flops, I put a drop of scented massage oil on each toe. It helps moisturize my cuticles, the shine makes my polish look fresh and it smells pretty.
Now go dust off those sexy strapy sandals.
Head on over to The Daily Grind to enter in the giveaway Martha has for your flip flop feet.

I have a confession that will make all the other ladies jealous. My amazing hubby rubs my feet every night. He is really good at it too! And in the summer if I ask him to...he'll paint my toenails for me. He's not so good at that...but there is something wonderful about having him do that for me. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. He's the BEST!
You ARE luky! Give that man a hug.
I wear flip flops all the time here in FL. Even when it gets chilly here... flip flops are my standard. I have casual ones and dressier one, and I LOVE a good pedicure, in fact it's about time for my next one!
I don't do that much pampering of myself . . . but when the warm weather comes I die for a pedicure. Don't do a manicur, but LOVE to have the feet scrubbed and loofahed and toenails painted a pretty pink. Makes me feel sooooo good!
I think a little of me is rubbing off on my beautiful and most talented daughter. It's nice to see that once in a while she is walking in my footsteps. And she's doing it with very pampered toes and feet. Enjoy your summer sandals and "flip flops". Love Mom
Yup I'm so not good at the me part. You go girl, and LOVE the shoes! Rock it girl, can't wait to see your sassy feet in them ;)
I can totally relate on not fitting ME into my list... :) I live in flip flops or sandals - or bare feet - all summer long, so I like to make sure my feet are 'view worthy'...(Grin!!)
Thanks for your comment on my butterfly photo. It is one of my favorite too. If you go check out my blog, I'm having a pedicure "stuff" giveaway. I knew there was a post about pedicures, but I could not remember where... I think I will like to your post since it is such good info!
I am soooo ready for the warmer weather too! I'm ready to break out the flip flops and sandals. Thanks for the post!
Can't wait to break out the sandals! i guess we are starting the party early for VGNO!!! have a great weekend :O) stop on over to my party when you get a chance!
In the spring and summer my indulgence is a bi-weekly pedi and in the winter, once a month. It's my only luxury and I use coupons on stuff all month so I can get my pedicures!!!
Love flip flops!
Stopping by from Anne's VGNO
Oh yes I was definitely doomed w/ the hair gene...don't worry, I shave those spiders.
I go to this fabulous little crappy place to get pedis about once a month and of course I always get orange polish!
Stopping in from the VGNO. I can't wait to get my flip flops ready and my toes. That's the only time I do pedicures. Don't worry about it during the winter time.
Great tips!
Hi there...I'm swinging by as a part of Ann's Virtual GNO! (first time for me :)
Definitely need to take care of the feet. I found these heel socks from Avon...they are pink and have this gel stuff in the heels. You put on some lotion, slip these socks on for a few hours or over night, and you really can tell the difference!
Stopping by from the party! Very nice to be meeting you tonight:)
i so need to get my feet ready for spring!
happy VGNO!
I am ready for the warm weather too!!

I can't wait to run around in some flip flops. Great post.
I must get my toes done NOW! You have inspired me, as well as my daughter who just got the nicest pedicure, and her toes looked so good!
The massage oil on your toes tip is awesome - I'm going to try that as soon as it hits 60's here again.
Hi.
I hope you had a fun VGNO.
Today I am leaving 100 comments.
Wish me luck!
Have a great day!
Oh Girl, it just never ends does it. I'm so hoping to get that me time today. Some how it's not looking so well .. ugh. I need some sassy shoes ... LOL
